கடவுள் சிலை

Humanity..!

      Once father and son went to the temple. After seeing the pillars of Lions at the entrance of the temple, Suddenly son shouted ′Run dad otherwise those Lions will eat us′. 

   After hearing this dad said, ′They are just statues and won′t harm us′. Son replied, ′If those lion statues won′t harm us then how could statues of God give us blessings′. Dad was unable to answer his son′s question. 

    The father wrote in his diary... ′I am still speechless on my child question and have started searching for God in Humans instead of statues. I didn′t find God but I found humanity′.

    ஒருமுறை அப்பாவும் மகனும் கோவிலுக்குச் சென்றார்கள். மகன் கோவிலின் நுழைவுவாயிலில் இருக்கும் சிங்கத்தின் தூண்களை பார்த்த பிறகு திடீரென்று 'அப்பா ஓடுங்கள், இல்லையெனில் அந்த சிங்கம் நம்மை சாப்பிட்டு விடும்" என்றான். 

    இதைக் கேட்டதும் அந்த மகனின் அப்பா அவனிடம் 'அவை வெறும் சிலைகளே நமக்கு அவை தீங்கு செய்யாது" என்றார். மகன் தந்தையிடம் 'அந்த சிங்கத்தின் சிலைகள் நமக்குத் தீங்கிழைக்கவில்லையென்றால், கடவுளுடைய சிலைகள் நமக்கு எப்படி ஆசீர்வாதங்களைத் தரும்?" என்று கேட்டான். அப்பாவினால் அவருடைய மகனின் கேள்விக்கு பதிலளிக்க முடியவில்லை.

     பிறகு அந்த பையனுடைய தந்தை அவருடைய நாட்குறிப்பில் 'நான் இன்னும் என்னுடைய குழந்தையின் கேள்வியினால் பேசமுடியாமல் இருக்கிறேன் மற்றும் நான் கடவுளை சிலைகளுக்கு பதிலாக மனிதர்களிடையே தேடத் தொடங்கினேன். என்னால் கடவுளைக் கண்டுபிடிக்கவில்லை, ஆனால் நான் மனித நேயத்தை கண்டுபிடித்து விட்டேன்" என்று எழுதினார்.
