The Boy′s Strength
Once a boy wanted to learn Judo. He lost his left hand in an accident. But regardless of that flaw, a teacher agreed to train him. The teacher taught him daily. But, he taught only a single trick for several days. Four months had passed. Then also, teacher taught him the same trick. The boy did not understand anything, why teacher was doing that. But he continued to practice.

One day the boy asked the teacher regarding that. The teacher told him, this trick was enough for you. Days had passed away. The teacher sent the boy to the competition. Many people saw the boy who came with only one hand and thought low of him. But in the end, the boy came as a winner. He had bravely defeated the stronger contestants than him. Everyone was surprised. Even the boy was surprised too.
The boy asked the teacher, How I won with only one hand and learning only one trick? The teacher said, there were only two reasons. First thing was what you learnt was a difficult trick in judo. The second thing, if the opposite person want to defeat you then he must attack your left hand. But unfortunately, you did not have the left hand. The boy then thanked his teacher.
Moral: Try to change your weakness into strength.
சிறுவன் ஒருவன் ஜூடோ பயில விரும்பினான். அவனுக்கோ ஒரு விபத்தினால் இடது கை போய்விட்டது. எனினும் அந்தக் குறையைப் பொருட்படுத்தாமல், ஒருவர் அவனுக்குப் பயிற்சி அளிக்க ஒப்புக் கொண்டார். தினமும் அவனுக்கு பயிற்சி அளித்தார் குரு. ஆனால் ஒரே ஒரு வித்தையை மட்டும் தான் சொல்லிக் கொடுத்தார் குரு. நான்கைந்து மாதங்கள் சென்றன. அப்போதும் அதே பயிற்சியைதான் தான் சொல்லிக் கொடுத்தார். சிறுவனுக்கோ ஒன்றும் புரியவில்லை. ஆனாலும் தொடர்ந்து பயிற்சியை மேற்கொண்டான்.
ஒரு நாள் சிறுவன் குருவிடம் கேட்டே விட்டான். இந்த ஒரு வித்தை மட்டும் தெரிந்தால் போதும் உனக்கு, என்று சொல்லிவிட்டார் குரு. நாட்கள் கடந்தன. குரு சிறுவனைப் போட்டிக்கு அனுப்பினார். ஒரு கையுடன் வந்த சிறுவனைப் பார்த்து பலரும் அற்பமாய் எண்ணினர். ஆனால், கடைசியில் வெற்றி சிறுவனுக்கே கிடைத்தது. தன்னை விட பலசாலிகளை எல்லாம் தைரியமாய் எதிர் கொண்டு வீழ்த்தி விட்டான். எல்லோரும் ஆச்சர்யப்பட்டனர். சிறுவனும் இதை நினைத்து ஆச்சர்யப்பட்டான்.
எப்படி என்னால் ஒருகையை வைத்துக் கொண்டு, ஒரே ஒரு வித்தையை மட்டும் கற்று வெற்றிபெற முடிந்தது? என்று குருவிடம் சிறுவன் கேட்டான். அதற்கு குரு இரண்டு காரணங்கள் தான் முக்கியம் என்றார். ஒன்று, நீ பயிற்சி செய்தது ஜூடோவிலேயே மிகவும் கடினமான வித்தை. இரண்டு, அதை தடுக்க வேண்டும் என்றால் எதிராலி உன்னுடைய இடது கையை மடக்க வேண்டும். எதிர்பாராத விதமாக உன்னிடம் இடது கை இல்லை. குருவுக்கு ஆத்மார்த்தமாக நன்றி சொன்னான் சிறுவன்.
நீதி: நம் பலவீனத்தை நம்முடைய பலமாக மாற்ற முயற்சி செய்யவேண்டும்.
