The Greedy Mouse
A greedy mouse saw a basket full of corn. It wanted to eat all of the corn so it made a small hole in the basket. It went in through the hole. It ate a lot of corn until it′s stomach was full and was very happy.
Now it wanted to come out. It tried to come out through the small hole. It could not. It′s belly was full. He tried again. But it was of no use.
The mouse started crying. A rabbit was passing by. It heard the mouse′s cry and asked, "Why are you crying, my friend?".
The mouse explained, "I made a small hole and came into the basket to eat the corn. Now I am not able to get out through that hole".
The rabbit said, "It is because you ate too much. Wait till your belly shrinks". The rabbit laughed and went away. The mouse fell asleep in the basket. The next morning its belly had shrunk. But it wanted to eat some more corn. It forgot all about getting out of the basket. So it ate the corn and it′s belly was really big again. After eating, the mouse remembered that it had to escape. But obviously, it could not. So it thought, "Oh! Now I will go out tomorrow".
The cat was the next passerby. It smelt the mouse in the basket. It lifted its lid and ate the mouse.
Moral of the Story : Don′t be greedy.

முயல், 'நீங்கள் அதிகமாக சாப்பிட்டதால் தான். உங்கள் வயிறு சுருங்கும் வரை காத்திருங்கள்." முயல் சிரித்துக் கொண்டே சென்றது. சுண்டெலி கூடையில் தூங்கிவிட்டது. மறுநாள் காலையில் அதன் வயிறு சுருங்கியது. ஆனால் அது இன்னும் கொஞ்சம் சோளம் சாப்பிட விரும்பியது. இது கூடையில் இருந்து வெளியேறுவது பற்றி அனைத்தையும் மறந்துவிட்டது. எனவே அது சோளத்தை சாப்பிட்டது, அதன் வயிறு மீண்டும் பெரியதாக இருந்தது. சாப்பிட்ட பிறகு, சுண்டெலி தப்பிக்க வேண்டும் என்பதை நினைவில் வைத்தது. ஆனால் வெளிப்படையாக, அது முடியவில்லை. எனவே அது, 'ஓ! இப்போது நான் நாளை வெளியே செல்வேன்" என்று நினைத்தது.
