Great Rich Man and a Zen..!!
A great rich man met a Zen saint, and asked, "Write down something to remind me that, I am happy with my family." Then the Saint took a piece of paper and wrote, "The father will die, the son will die, the grandson will die."
After reading that he got very angry, "I asked you to Write down something to remind me that I am happy with my family" but you have written some lines, that hurts me a lot, said angrily.
The saint says, "Yes, I wrote lines for happy living with family", as you have asked. I will explain to you how it will be, If your son dies first, it will cause great pain in everybody′s mind. Likewise, if your grandson dies first, it will be an unbearable experience. Anyway, every person in your family will die continuously. That′s the nature of life. So I have written it on that paper.
Moral : Everyone born in this world will surely have pain.
ஒரு பெரிய பணக்காரன் ஒருவன் ஜென் துறவியை சந்தித்து, 'நான் என் குடும்பத்துடன் மகிழ்ச்சியாக இருப்பதை நினைவூட்டும் வகையில் ஏதாவது எழுதிக் கொடுங்கள்" என்று கேட்டான். அதற்கு அந்த துறவி ஒரு காகிதத் துண்டை எடுத்து, அதில் 'தந்தை இறக்கிறான், மகன் இறக்கிறான், பேரன் இறக்கிறான்" என்று எழுதிக் கொடுத்தார்.
அதைப் படித்த அவனுக்கு கோபம் மூண்டது. 'நான் என் குடும்பத்துடன் மகிழ்ச்சியாக இருப்பதை நினைவூட்டும் வகையில் ஏதாவது எழுதிக் கொடுங்கள் என்று கேட்டால், நீங்கள் என் மனம் புண்படும் வகையில் எழுதித் தருகிறீர்களே!" என்று ஆத்திரத்துடன் கேட்டான்.
அதற்கு துறவி 'ஆம். நானும் நீ கேட்டது போல் உன் குடும்பத்துடன் சேர்ந்து வாழ ஒரு மகிழ்ச்சியான ஒன்றைத் தான் எழுதியுள்ளேன்". அது எப்படி என்பதை நான் உங்களுக்கு நான் விளக்குகிறேன், ஒரு வேளை உன் மகன் முதலில் இறந்துவிட்டால், அது ஒவ்வொருவரின் மனதிலும் பெரும் வலியை உண்டாக்கும். அதுவே உன் பேரன் முதலில் இறந்தால், அது தாங்க முடியாத அனுபவமாக இருக்கும். எப்படியிருந்தாலும் உங்கள் குடும்பத்தில் இருப்பவர்கள் வரிசையாக இறக்கப் போகிறார்கள். அது தான் வாழ்க்கைப் பற்றிய இயற்கையின் உண்மை. ஆகவே நானும் அதை, அந்த காகிதத்தில் எழுதியுள்ளேன்.
நீதி : இந்த உலகில் பிறக்கும் அனைவருக்குமே வலி நிச்சயம் இருக்கும்.
