கேஸ் சிலிண்டரின் எக்ஸ்பயரி காலத்தை நான்கு கட்டங்களாக பிரித்துள்ளனர். அதாவது A, B, C, D. ஒவ்வொரு எழுத்துக்கும் மூன்று மாதங்கள். கேஸ் சிலிண்டரின் மூன்று பக்கங்களில் ஏதாவது ஒன்றில் குறியீடு போடப்பட்டிருக்கும். A-19 என்ற குறியீடு இருப்பதாக வைத்துக்கொள்வோம். 19 என்பது 2019 வருடம் ஆகும். A என்பது வருடத்தின் முதல் கால்பகுதியை குறிக்கும். அதாவது A-19 என்ற குறியீடு இருந்தால் 2019 மார்ச் 31 வரைக்கும் சிலிண்டரை பயன்படுத்தலாம் .
B-19 என்ற குறியீடு இருந்தால் ஜூன் மாதம் 30-ஆம் தேதி வரையிலும், C-19 என்று இருந்தால் அந்த சிலிண்டரை செப்டம்பர் 30-ஆம் தேதி வரையிலும், D-19 என்று இருந்தால் டிசம்பர் 31 தேதி வரையிலும் பயன்படுத்திக் கொள்ளலாம். LPG யின் விரிவாக்கம் Liquid Petrolium Gas. ஒரு சிலிண்டருக்குள் 14.2 Kg அளவுக்கு கேஸ் இருக்கும். ஒரு சிலிண்டரை மூன்று மாதத்திற்கு மேல் பயன்படுத்துவது நல்லதல்ல என்று கேஸ் சப்ளை நிறுவனம் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளது. ஆனால் பெரும்பாலான வீடுகளில் இரண்டு மாதங்களுக்குள் கேஸ் தீர்ந்துவிடுகிறது.
