ஒரு மிருகத்தை வேட்டையாடிய இரண்டு சிங்கங்கள் அதன் இறைச்சிக்காக அடித்துக் கொண்டன. இரண்டும் சமபலம் பெற்றதால் தொடர்ந்து போராடின. கிடைத்த உணவை சமமாகப் பங்கிட்டு உண்ண அவை விரும்பவில்லை. எனவே இரண்டும் வெகுநேரம் சண்டையிட்டன. எதிரில் கிடந்த இறைச்சி அருகே கூட நடந்து செல்ல முடியாத அளவிற்கு இரண்டும் களைப்படைந்தன.
அதற்குமேல் அவைகளால் சண்டையிட முடியவில்லை. பசியின் களைப்பு. மிகவும் சோர்ந்து போயின. அந்த நேரத்தில் அங்கு ஒரு நரி வந்தது. இரண்டு சிங்கங்களும் இறைச்சிக்காக சண்டையிட்டு களைப்பாக உள்ளதை அறிந்து கொண்டது. நரி தந்திரமானது. அவை இரண்டும் இப்போதைக்கு எழுந்து வரமுடியாது என்பதை தெரிந்து கொண்டது.
நரி மெல்ல இறைச்சி கிடந்த இடத்திற்குச் சென்றது. இரண்டு சிங்கங்களிடம் இருந்து எதிர்ப்புக் குரல் வருகிறதா? எனப் பார்த்தது. பாவம் சிங்கங்கள்.. போட்ட சண்டையில் கர்ஜிக்கக் கூட பலமில்லாமல் சோர்ந்து கிடந்தன. சரி.. நமக்கு இதுதான் நல்ல சமயம் என நினைத்தது நரி. சிங்கங்கள் பார்த்துக் கொண்டிருக்கும் பொழுதே, பாய்ந்து சென்று , இறைச்சியைக் கவ்விக் கொண்டு சென்றது.
நரி இறைச்சியைத் தூக்கிச் செல்வதை வேடிக்கைதான் பார்க்க முடிந்ததே தவிர, இரண்டு சிங்கங்களும் எழுந்து சென்று இறைச்சியைக் காப்பாற்ற முடியவில்லை.
கூடி வாழ்ந்து உள்ளக் கருத்துக்களைப் பகிர்ந்துகொள்ள வேண்டும். அதை மறந்து பகைமை கொண்டால், மூன்றாவது ஆள் உள்ளே நுழைந்து அனைத்தையும் கெடுத்துவிடுவான். என்றும் எதிராளிக்கு எளிதில் இடம் கொடுத்துவிடாதீர்கள்.
நீதி : பிரச்சனைகள் உண்டானால் பேசித் தீர்த்துவிடு. இடையில் ஒரு ஆள் புகுந்தால் எதுவும் மிஞ்சாது.

Two lions hunted an animal and beat it for its meat. The two continued to struggle as they balanced. They do not want to share the food equally. So the two fought late. Both were too tired to walk even near the meat lying opposite.
